A Christian Island resident is facing multiple charges after allegedly trying to kick in the front door of a Midland home.

Police say a homeowner called 911 at about 1 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25 to report that a person was attempting to break into his Johnson Street home.

Officers showed up quickly and located the suspect nearby. Jaden Partridge, 30, was charged with mischief and being "unlawfully in a dwelling." He was also charged with being intoxicated in a public place contrary to the Liquor Licence and Control Act.

The accused was later released and will appear in court April 4 to answer to the charges.
