Cocaine, fentanyl, home-made weapon seized during bust in Midland

Search warrant executed as part of ongoing investigation led by OPP's street crime unit

Police seized drugs, a weapon and stolen property while executing a search warrant Wednesday afternoon at a Queen Street residence in Midland.

The police search turned up a wooden baseball bat loaded with nails, as well as cocaine, fentanyl, clonazepam, stolen property and drug paraphernalia.

Police said the warrant for the Queen Street raid was executed as part of an ongoing investigation led by members of the Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crime Unit attached to the Southern Georgian Bay, Orillia, and Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachments.

“... A number of individuals have been identified who will be subject to further investigation and reported on in an updated media release,” police said.
