Complaint leads to numerous charges for Gravenhurst man

Charges include impaired operation, driving without ignition interlock device

A Gravenhurst man is facing numerous charges after police received a complaint Wednesday from a member of the public.

At 1:30 p.m., Bracebridge OPP responded to the report of the “concerning behaviour” of a driver on Everleigh Road in Muskoka Lakes Township. They located the vehicle and arrested the driver.

Edward McKenzie, 31, has been charged with impaired operation, over 80, having care/control of a motor vehicle with an open container of alcohol, driving a vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock device, driving while prohibited, using an unauthorized plate, operating a vehicle without insurance, and failure to comply with a release order.

The accused has a July 11 court date in Bracebridge.
