A Penetanguishene woman is facing impaired-related charges after a crash Monday in Tiny Township.
Emergency crews responded at about 7:45 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Rue Lafontaine East and found a “’70s-era” Chevrolet Corvette lodged in a forest about 25 metres off the road, Southern Georgian Bay OPP said in a news release.
The driver received care from paramedics and was then taken to the OPP detachment for breath samples.
Stephanie Smith, 50, was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired (over 80). She was released and will appear in court in Midland at a later date. Her driver’s licence will be suspended for 90 days and the vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
