A man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle collision Thursday in Bracebridge.

A man has been taken to hospital with what police are calling life-altering injuries following a crash Thursday morning in Bracebridge.

Emergency crews responded at 2 a.m. to the scene of a single-vehicle collision on Matthiasville Road. The driver, a 36-year-old Bracebridge man, was taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to a Toronto hospital. The driver was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

Matthiasville Road was closed for the investigation but has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has surveillance footage is asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
