Eagle-eyed fast-food worker helps OPP nab alleged drunk driver in drive-thru

Three people, including one boater, were charged within six days in the Bracebridge area, police say

Bracebridge OPP recently charged three people with impaired driving infractions.

On Aug. 10 at 9:45 p.m., police were called to a restaurant in Bracebridge in response to concerns from staff about a driver in the drive-thru.

Mackenzie Weaver, 32, of Bracebridge, was charged with operation while impaired by drug. He has a Sept. 12 court date in Bracebridge.

At 9:45 p.m. on Aug. 11, police received several complaints about a possible impaired driver on Muskoka Road 118 in Bracebridge.

Igor Kutik, 57, of Innisfil,  was charged with operation while impaired and over 80. He will appear in Bracebridge court Sept. 12.

On Aug. 16 at 4:20 p.m., the Bracebridge OPP Marine Unit was patrolling Lake Joseph in Seguin Township. A safety check on a vessel was conducted and the operator was charged.

Storey Badger, 46, of Seguin Township, has been charged with operation while impaired (over 80) and several Canada Shipping Act charges. He is set to appear in Bracebridge court Sept. 21.
