BRACEBRIDGE – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Jan. 1, 2021 at 5 a.m. on Highway 11 North in Gravenhurst after passersby noticed the vehicle overturned in the ditch and called 9-1-1. The sole occupant was transported to local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Officers have conducted an investigation into the crash and have charged 40 year-old Brian Viega of Gravenhurst, Ont. with:
- Operation while impaired CC 320.14(1)(a),
- Refusal to provide breath sample CC 320.15(1); and
- Failing to comply with his probation order CC 733.1(1).
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on March 16, 2021 to answer to his charges.
