Police seized drugs and weapons after executing search warrants Thursday in Gravenhurst and Toronto.

Three people are facing charges after search warrants were executed in Gravenhurst and Toronto as part of a drug trafficking investigation.

Police began the investigation this month, probing drug trafficking in Muskoka. On Thursday, two search warrants were executed.

Police seized cocaine, codeine, psilocybin, cannabis, cannabis-related items, a firearm, a large quantity of cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia, according to a Bracebridge OPP news release.

Keegan Short and Sara Villa, both 24, of Gravenhurst, have each been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of codeine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling (four counts), unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000.

Both were held in custody for a bail hearing Thursday. They were released with a Nov. 7 court date in Bracebridge.

Michael Estrada-Suazo, 30, of Toronto, has been charged with possession of cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and breach of a conditional sentence order. He was held in custody for a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday in Bracebridge.
