'Heavily tinted windows' attracts police, sparks charges

On Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 1:30 a.m. Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police officers were conducting general patrol in the town of Gravenhurst when they observed a vehicle travelling on Highway 11 with heavily tinted windows.

A traffic stop was conducted and after investigation police arrested and charged 20-year-old Dylan Bannister of Port Kilworthy with operation while impaired. Bannister was also charged with numerous offences under the Highway Traffic Act and the Cannabis Control Act.

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on May 31, 2022 to answer to his charges. Furthermore, his driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded.
