DYSART ET AL - On June 18, 2019 shortly before 1 a.m., members of the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for assistance at a residence on Highland Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male inside the home. Norman Hart, 33 years old, of Haliburton has since been arrested and charged with second degree murder.
The male victim has been identified as Robert James Brown, 49 years old of Haliburton.
This investigation remains ongoing with members of the Haliburton Highlands and City of Kawartha Lakes Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Staff Sergeant Kurtis Fredericks of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
