Injured Bracebridge man dies at Toronto hospital

BRACEBRIDGE - On July 7, 2019 shortly before 6 p.m., officers from the Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Muskoka Paramedic Services were dispatched to an address on Alice Street in Bracebridge in regards to an injured male. 

The male was transported to a local hospital and subsequently airlifted to a Toronto area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. The deceased has been identified as Justin Heptinstall (age 48) of Bracebridge, Ont.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the OPP Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and the Regional Support Team (RST) under the direction of Detective Inspector Laura Houliston of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
