A 16-year-old girl from Innisfil was killed in a head-on crash Sunday evening in New Tecumseth.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m., May 7, Nottawasaga OPP officers were called to a collision involving two passenger vehicles on Tottenham Road between 5th and 6th line in New Tecumseth.
Police say one person was pronounced deceased at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released.
A second person was transported to a Toronto trauma centre with serious injuries and a third person was transported to a local hospital, where they were treated and released.
OPP traffic collision investigators attended the scene to investigate. The road was closed for several hours for the investigation and has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
