A Barrie man has been arrested by city police and charged with accessing child pornography and possession of child pornography, the same charges he faced back in 2017.

On Wednesday, Feb. 1, the Barrie police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit arrested the 27-year-old man. His name was not released.

Policed allege the accused used Google to upload images of child pornography. Several computer devices were seized for forensic analysis.

The suspect was subsequently held for a bail hearing and later released to a surety with several conditions along with a future court date.
