Members of the Orillia detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a vehicle stop which resulted in the arrest of a male for impaired driving in the City of Orillia.
On Oct. 1, 2020, shortly before 4 a.m., police were on patrol on Barrie Road when they observed a vehicle being driven erratically. The vehicle was stopped and an impaired driving investigation was initiated. The driver was subsequently arrested.
Kyle Pelletier, age 21, of Oro-Medonte, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol, contrary to Section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 Plus), contrary to Section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
The accused was released on a Form 9 Appearance Notice and is set to appear on Oct. 20, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Orillia.
