Male charged after two-vehicle crash shuts down Highway 11

The 20-year-old was charged with careless driving; OPP say two occupants were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries

This vehicle was badly damaged after colliding with a tractor trailer last night on Highway 11, north of Line 13. Due to extensive damage to the guard rail, the highway was closed for several hours.

A Brampton man has been charged with careless driving following a two-vehicle crash that shut down Highway 11 for several hours last night.

The Orillia OPP say at approximately 10:30 p.m. last night, they responded to a collision involving a tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle on Highway 11 northbound, north of Line 13.

Two vehicle occupants were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Due to extensive damage to the guardrail, the northbound lanes were closed for several hours. 

In the wake of the investigation, a 20-year-old male was charged with careless driving.
