The 26-year-old driver of this Lamborghini was nabbed for driving with a suspended licence in Orillia Friday.

Driving a Lamborghini is cool, but it can land you in hot water if you're a suspended driver.

On Friday, a 26-year-old man driving a blue Lamborghini was stopped by the Orillia OPP, who determined the driver of the valuable vehicle had a suspended driver's licence.

As a result, the man's Italian sports car was impounded; that means it was "carefully towed," say police.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, while a Lamborghini wasn't involved, Orillia OPP arrested a person driving on Highway 400 like he was challenging for the checkered flag at a race track. OPP officers clocked the person driving 176 km/h on the provincial highway that has a 100 km/h speed limit.

The 22-year-old said he was late for work - in Sudbury. Now, the man has a court date, received a seven-day licence suspension and had his vehicle impounded, which happens automatically when a person is charged with stunt driving.

OPP remind drivers that keeping your speed below the limit "increases your chance of making it to your destination safely."
