Man says he hid stolen jewellery on local trail, but OPP can't find it

Do you recognize any of these items? They were recently stolen and allegedly hidden on the trail behind the Leacock Museum. However, Orillia OPP officers were unable to find the stolen items.

The Orillia OPP is appealing for the public's assistance in tracking down some stolen jewellery.

On July 31 at approximately 11:30 a.m., numerous items were stolen from a residence near Maple Drive in Orillia.

The Orillia OPP arrested a man on Aug. 4 in relation to this crime. The man told officers the missing jewellery was being kept hidden on the trail behind the Leacock Museum.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any of the stolen goods.
