Three occupants of a float plane survived a crash unscathed Friday on Lake St. John in Ramara Township.
Emergency crews responded shortly before noon to a report of a plane that crashed in the northern part of the lake while the pilot was attempting to land.
There were no injuries. The plane was towed to a local water access airport. The Transportation Safety Board has been called in to investigate.
In a news release, Orillia OPP thanked residents “who quickly attended to assist the occupants of the aircraft while emergency services were en route to the scene.”
