MIDLAND - On Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019 members of the Southern Georgian Bay and Orillia OPP Detachment Community Street Crime Units executed a search warrant on a residence in the Town of Midland in relation to the recent rash of business break and enter incidents in Midland.
As a result of executing this search warrant, 31-year-old Joel Stewart of Midland was arrested and charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:
- 9 counts of Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence
- 9 counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused has been held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on Sept. 6, 2019.
