OPP investigating possible indecent act at Bass Lake (UPDATE: OPP clarify location)

Orillia OPP issued a news release clarifying the location of the incident.

The alleged incident occurred at the Bass Lake boat launch, off the 13th Line North in Severn Township.

On Tuesday July 23, 2019 the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to Bass Lake Provincial Park in Orillia with reports of an indecent act.

Initial investigation revealed that between 8 and 8:30 p.m. a male was at Bass Lake Provincial Park.

Witnesses saw the male with his pants down believed to be committing an indecent act. After a brief confrontation the male fled the area.

Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the male party. The male is described as:

  • Caucasian male.
  • Late 30s to early 40s.
  • Short blond hair(Caesar cut).
  • Pink Shirt
  • Brown Shorts
  • Glasses

The vehicle the male was driving is described as:

  • Ford Ranger year 2003 to 2007, two-wheel drive
  • Grey Titanium pain colour
  • Extended Cab
  • Decals on side windows and back windows
  • Factory tires and rims
