OPP trying to ID truck, driver after fail-to-remain incident

Motorcyclist was injured after striking wooden crate that fell off pickup truck on Hwy 11

Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate a fail-to-remain incident that left a motorcyclist injured.

Orillia OPP responded May 12, shortly after 5:30 p.m., to a crash on Highway 11 North, near West Street. A motorcycle struck a wooden crate that fell from a pickup truck.

“The pickup truck appeared to brake, then continued without stopping to check on the driver of the motorcycle, who was injured after striking the wooden crate,” police said in a news release.
