Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate a fail-to-remain incident that left a motorcyclist injured.
Orillia OPP responded May 12, shortly after 5:30 p.m., to a crash on Highway 11 North, near West Street. A motorcycle struck a wooden crate that fell from a pickup truck.
“The pickup truck appeared to brake, then continued without stopping to check on the driver of the motorcycle, who was injured after striking the wooden crate,” police said in a news release.
Orillia OPP has security footage of the pickup truck in question and asks anyone who can identify the driver or vehicle to call police at 705-326-3536 or 1-888-310-1122. Tips can also be made anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or crimestopperssdm.com.
