Two people from Orillia are facing multiple charges after a drug bust in Orillia Friday.
Members of the Orillia OPP street crime unit, with help from Orillia OPP officers, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle which had been under physical surveillance at about 3 p.m. on July 14.
As a result of the investigation, police seized a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, drug packaging, digital scales and three cell phones in addition to $1,725 in cash.
Two individuals were charged following the incident.
Filipe Ramos, a 35-years-old from Orillia, has been charged with:
- Possession of Schedule I substance - Purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of Schedule I substance - Purpose of trafficking (fentanyl)
- Possession of proceeds of crime (currency) under $5,000
- Trafficking in Schedule I substance (cocaine)
Kristen Toth, a 22-year-old from Orillia, has been charged with:
- Possession of Schedule I substance - Purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession of Schedule I substance - Purpose of trafficking (fentanyl)
- Possession of proceeds of crime (currency) under $5,000
The accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia on Aug. 15, 2023, to answer to the charges.
