Orillia man charged after cocaine, cash seized in local drug bust

Police seized cocaine, cash and other items from a Colborne Street residence in Orillia on Wednesday.

An Orillia man is facing charges after a search warrant was executed in the city on Wednesday.

Members of the Orillia and Muskoka Community Street Crime Units executed the warrant at a residence on Colborne Street, where they seized 82 grams of cocaine and $1,050 in Canadian currency, according to an Orillia OPP news release.

Joseph Crandall, 42, has been charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000. He was held for a bail hearing scheduled for Wednesday in Barrie.
