Orillia OPP charges two with impaired driving on long weekend

Orillia OPP charged two people with impaired driving offences over the long weekend.

Shortly before 6 p.m. on May 18, officers responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision with a tree on Concession Road M-N in Ramara Township. Police said the driver was showing signs of impairment.

Allison Harvey, 22, of Ramara, has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol) and operation while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus).

On May 19, just after 2 a.m., officers patrolling on Highway 12 in Oro-Medonte Township saw a vehicle swerving on the road. Police said the driver showed “numerous signs of being intoxicated by alcohol.”

Sarah Holmes, 41, of Clearview Township, has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol) and operation while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80-plus).
