Orillia woman charged for driving almost 60 km/h over speed limit

A South Simcoe police officer clocked an Orillia woman driving 139 km/h in an 80 km/h zone in Bradford.

An Orillia woman has been charged after police say she was driving nearly 60 kilometres over the speed limit in Bradford.

In a post on X, South Simcoe police said the 61-year-old woman was caught driving 139 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on County Road 27.

She was charged with stunt driving. Her driver’s licence will be suspended for 30 days and the vehicle will be impounded for 14 days.

Police did not provide her name.
