Barrie police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Duckworth Street this afternoon.
Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon said the victim is an elderly man.
Police have closed Duckworth Street between Bell Farm Road and Rose Street for the investigation, as well as Bernick Drive at Duckworth.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
