Rama Police nab wanted man during traffic stop in Orillia

On March 1, 2021 at approximately 11:17 p.m. Rama Police conducted a traffic stop within the City of Orillia on King Street. As a result of this traffic stop the male driver was found to be a suspended driver and wanted by the Brockville Police Service.

Neil Foster aged 42 of Toronto, was arrested and as a result of the ensuing investigation he was further arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order CC 117.01(1) X 3
  • Fail to comply with probation order CC 733.1(1) X 2
  • Possession of weapons for dangerous purpose CC 88 X 2
  • Possession of scheduled 1 substance cocaine CDSA 4(1)
  • Possession of a scheduled 1 substance for the purposes of trafficking cocaine CDSA 5(2)
  • Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available CCA2017 12(1) and driving while under suspension HTA 53(1).

He was released on a Form 10 to appear before court at a later date. The rental motor vehicle was towed and impounded.
