NEWS RELEASE
RAMA POLICE SERVICE
********************
The Rama Police would like to assure the public that policing our First Nation and surrounding area will be business as usual.

Our plan is to engage, explain, educate and enforce with an unbiased manner in relation to the provincial stay-at-home order and the recently updated restrictions.

The Rama Police will not be making random traffic stops or stopping pedestrians at random either.

However, the Rama Police will continue to stop vehicles to check for sobriety, proper MTO licences, paperwork and insurance.

RIDE programs will continue to be a large part of our daily and evening proactive policing measures.

We will also answer and investigate any complaint-driven incidents that might be in contravention of the provincial stay-at-home order made under the Emergency Management Act and Civil Protection Act such as: large gatherings, mask wearing and self-isolation orders.
