The body of a Ramara Township man has been recovered from the Green River near Washago.
At about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Orillia OPP responded to the river for the report of an “overdue boater,” police said in a news release. The man’s boat had been located, but he was not in it.
Police, Ramara firefighters, Simcoe County paramedics, and residents conducted a search and found the man’s body.
The deceased is a 74-year-old man. Police will not be releasing his name.
