Police search leads to over 700 grams of cocaine, stolen vehicles

A large amount of Canadian currency was also seized along with several prescription pills, police say

A Barrie man has been charged and drugs were seized — including more than 700 grams of cocaine — in connection to a stolen vehicle investigation, Wednesday. 

On Aug. 16, the Barrie Police Service Street Crime Unit executed several search warrants at a south-end home.

A 27-year-old Barrie man was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime. 

Police say search of the residence revealed the suspect was in possession of two stolen vehicles, cocaine, several prescription pills, and a large amount of Canadian currency.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Barrie at a future date.
