Suspect sought for numerous gas thefts

Barrie Police are looking to identify a male who has spent the last six months pumping gas and driving off without paying.

On Sunday, May 26, 2018 at approximately 12:50 p.m., the male suspect pumped over $90 of fuel into his vehicle at the Esso located at 99 Mapleview Dr. E. in the City of Barrie. He immediately returned to his vehicle and left without making any attempts to pay for the gas.

The vehicle is believed to be a 2014 to 2016 white Kia four-door Optima with a stolen British Columbia licence plate reading 924 HNH. Police records show the vehicle and suspect are responsible for multiple gas thefts in Barrie, Oro, Orillia and York Region over the previous six months.
