Just after 4 a.m., police responded to County Road 27 north of Horseshoe Valley Road in response to a serious collision. A single vehicle struck a tree and burst into flames. Both teen occupants sustained serious injuries, but miraculously were able to remove themselves from the fiery wreck.

Both teens were transported to Toronto-area trauma centres.
