An Angus man faces impaired driving charges following a crash last night on Highway 400 near Penetanguishene Road in Springwater Township.

Orillia OPP officers responded to a crash involving two vehicles, one of them being a tractor-trailer, shortly before 10 p.m. on Oct. 23.

"Officers attended the scene and spoke with everyone involved in the collision," OPP stated in a news release. "After speaking with the driver of the tractor-trailer, officers entered an impaired operation driving investigation."

Norman Windover, 32, of Angus has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and having a blood-alcohol concentration over .80 milligrams.

None of the allegations have been tested in court.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Orillia court at a future date.

Highway 400 was partially closed as a result, but has since been fully reopened.
