Provincial police say officers seized a loaded gun, a replica firearm and a "large quantity" of drugs and cash on Wednesday afternoon following a vehicle stop on Highway 400 in Barrie.
Ontario Provincial Police say the initial call that came in was about a vehicle that allegedly been taken without consent.
Police say the vehicle was located on Highway 400 in the southbound lanes and stopped by officers from the Orillia and Aurora OPP detachments around 3 p.m. on March 6.
According to OPP, officers saw drugs in the vehicle, which led to a further search and the discovery of weapons, cash and more drugs.
All three men in the vehicle were arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The driver, a 26-year-old Timmins resident, as well as a 22-year-old Stouffville man and a 23-year-old Mississauga man, face a combined 81 charges, including possession of firearms and other weapon-related offences, drug possession and trafficking, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
No names were released by police.
