Huronia West OPP officers charged two drivers with impaired operation during the weekend.
On July 8, while conducting a RIDE program on South Orr Lake Road in Springwater Township, a 32-year-old woman from Barrie was investigated, according to a news release. She faces charges of operation of a conveyance while ability impaired and operation of a conveyance with 80 or more milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood, on a date in early August 2023.
Later that night, shortly before 11:30 p.m., police responded to a single-vehicle collision on Forbes Road, in Springwater Township.
Officers entered into an impaired and collision investigation and, as a result, a 26-year-old Oro-Medonte Township man has been charged with operation of a conveyance while ability impaired, operation of a conveyance with 80 or more milligrams of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, driving while under suspension, fail to remain and fail to report a collision.
The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on a date in early August 2023.
Both received a 90-day driver's licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
