Two facing drug trafficking charges after traffic complaint in Gravenhurst

One of the occupants of the vehicle is also facing a weapon possession charge

On Friday May 6, 2022 at 4 p.m. Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received two traffic complaints from members of the public about a vehicle travelling on Farquhar Street in Gravenhurst.

Officers located the vehicle at the end of Lorne Street and after an investigation arrested and charged 33-year-old Shannan Green of Gravenhurst with possession of Schedule I (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking CDSA 5(2) and two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose CC 88.

A second involved person, 39-year-old Dwayne Clodd of Gravenhurst, was also charged with possession of Schedule I (Cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking CDSA 5(2) and occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a prohibited or restricted weapon CC 94.

Each accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 21, 2022 to answer to their charges.
