Victim in stable condition after Alliston shooting: OPP

One person is in stable condition following a shooting Thursday afternoon in Alliston. 

Nottawasaga OPP say the incident happened around 5 p.m. on Feb. 22 in front of a residence on Kidd Crescent.

Police say the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital shortly after the arrival of police and paramedics. 

No other information about the victim was released. 

The three male suspects were wearing dark clothing and masks, according to OPP. The suspects were last seen leaving the area in a white Toyota Camry.

Investigators say they believe this is an isolated incident and there is no immediate threat to public safety.

"Members of the public should always be aware of their surroundings and personal safety," OPP stated in a news release. 

The investigation is ongoing by the Nottawasaga OPP major crime unit, with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS).
