Weapons call results in arrest of two men in Orillia

Police say no danger exists to general public

The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged two in relation to a weapons call in the area of Davey Drive in Orillia, a news release states.

On July 12, 2023, shortly after 4:00 p.m., police were dispatched after reports of a gunshot. Police were provided with a description of a motor vehicle leaving the area and located it at Westmount and Barrie Road. The vehicle was stopped, and two men were arrested.

No danger exists to the general public, police said.

The investigation is continuing and updates will be provided when available.
