A woman has been charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault after a man was stabbed Friday night in Barrie.
He was taken to hospital and treated for serious injuries.
City police were called to an Anne Street North address just before 8:50 p.m. for an incident involving an injured male.
Officers determined the male had been stabbed, but that he had left the scene on his own to seek medical attention.
He was eventually located by police and taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) in Barrie.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested and charged.
This incident is being investigated by detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division.
The Barrie Police Service Forensic Identification Unit was also on-scene and assisted with evidence collection.
