Glen Acres Lodge, Floral Park Ont. is the title of this postcard showing six double cabins and a large main building with Texaco gas pumps. Information is scarce on the location of this lodge.

The postcard was not mailed but written on back is the message: “Walt and I stayed here Memorial Day weekend 1952. Nice place.”

Close inspection reveals a road running along the waterfront behind the trees. A small dock with a boat is on the shoreline. The main building, with a “Glen Acres” sign facing the road, is large enough to be used for a general store and dance hall.

Gas pumps are generally located on main roads yet nowhere in the Floral Park area does Rama Road run close to the lake as shown. The photo could be a lodge from another area and mislabeled or manipulated in the publisher's studio to suggest a close waterfront location.
