Orillia Lions Club Spring Classic Golf Tournament — Saturday, May 28

After a two-year pandemic hiatus, the Orillia Lions Club is excited to announce the return of its annual Spring Classic Golf Tournament.

The May 28 tournament marks the 20th Anniversary of the event, which raises money for charity. It will include nine holes in a scramble format, a putting contest, a raffle and prizes, dinner and a $15,000 reward for the hole-in-one prize.

To sign up, contact Bill Belfour at 705-326-0931 or [email protected]

Empower Simcoe Golf Tournament — Thursday, June 16th

After a successful fundraising tournament last year — raising over $28,000 — the Empower Simcoe Foundation is increasing its number of foursomes to 25 at this year's June 16th event hosted at the Braestone Club. Registration is $175 per golfer or $700 per foursome and includes golf cart rental, green fees for 18 holes, lunch and a goodie bag. There will also be an online silent auction with lots of great deals and gifts.

All funds will go to Lakeshore Ridge, a new supported living home in Oro-Medonte.

“It will bring the highest level of professional support and care for people with multiple and complex needs because everyone belongs!” the Empower Simcoe website states.
