It's time to take out the golf clubs and help support local businesses at the annual Chamber Classic golf tournament.
The tournament — taking place on September 7th — will kick off with a barbeque lunch. Following that, golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf with power carts before returning to the clubhouse for a reception which will feature food, networking, presentation of awards and prize draws.
"Funds raised through the tournament go toward our local business advocacy initiatives," explained Erica Fomenko, Communications and Membership Coordinator at Orillia District Chamber of Commerce.
The tournament — which has been running since at least 1988 — will take place at Hawk Ridge Golf Club and is an opportunity for members of the Orillia business community to network while enjoying the fresh air of the course.
