LETTER: Ontario receiving 'fair share' of federal funding

Lynn Lehman needs to keep on crunching.

The link in the article opens an interactive map showing the number of projects and funding supported by the Community Services Recovery Fund. If you use the interactive map to show all the projects in Ontario, you will see there are almost 2,000 projects being funded. At over $133 million, Ontario is receiving a full third of the $400 million allocated. A fair share, I would say.

Interestingly, three of the four provinces west of Ontario are governed by conservative parties, yet they, too, are receiving large amounts of money. It seems there is no Liberal conspiracy to withhold federal funding from conservative-led provinces, as Lehman suggests.
