A collision Saturday in Severn has resulted in charges being laid against a Barrie man.
At about 12:40 p.m., emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle collision on County Road 16. The vehicle was on its side with a one person inside. The driver was arrested and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to an Orillia OPP news release.
David Twigg, 28, has been charged with operation while impaired (alcohol) and refusing to comply with a demand. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Orillia in January.
