Bracebridge OPP clocked a driver going 141 km/h in a 90 km/h zone Monday in Gravenhurst.

On Monday, May 30, at 2:32 p.m., a uniform officer was conducting speed enforcement on Highway 11 North in the Town of Gravenhurst.

Police stopped and charged a 34-year-old female from Barrie for the speeding offence of 141 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone.

The driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for race a motor vehicle (excessive speed) and speeding of 50 km/h over the posted speed limit. Her driver’s licence is under a 30-day suspension and the vehicle impound for stunt driving is 14 days.

The OPP is reminding drivers to share our roads safely and keep themselves and their passengers safe so that everyone arrives at their destination.
