Local woman faces fentanyl possession charge

Tiny Township man also faces charges following police investigation

Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Southern Georgian Bay Detachment, Community Street Crime Unit, have arrested and charged two people following an investigation into outstanding arrest warrants. As a result of the investigation, officers have seized substances suspected to be Fentanyl and Gabapentin.  

Krystal Allaire, 37 years old from Midland has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I controlled substance - fentanyl
  • Breach of recognizance x 2

Jarrod Smith, 51 years old from Tiny Township has been charged with: 

  • Possession of property obtained by crime - Under $5,000

Smith will also appear in court regarding eight outstanding bench warrants. The two accused were held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on March 5, 2020.
