CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON - At approximately 4:45 p.m. on May 25, 2018 members of the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, on Kawartha Lakes Road 36 near Pleasant Point Road.
The driver of the motor vehicle, a 65-year-old male from Lindsay, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the motorcycle, a 48-year-old female from Cavan Township, was pronounced deceased on scene.
The road was closed for several hours as the OPP's Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation, which is on-going.
