The Director of the Special Investigations Unit, Tony Loparco, has determined there are no reasonable grounds to lay criminal charges against any Ontario Provincial Police officer in relation to the serious injury sustained by a 28-year-old male when he was arrested on Jan. 2, 2018.

The man had attended the Orillia OPP detachment of his own accord, but when police discovered that the man had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, they arrested him after a struggle.

No other details were released.
