One dead after fatal watercraft collision near Wasaga Beach

A 28-year old man has died; the investigation is ongoing, say police

The Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has confirmed one person has died after two personal watercrafts collided on Georgian Bay near Wasaga Beach. 

Police responded along with fire and paramedic services to a Mosley Street watercraft rental business on Aug. 6 at 6:15 p.m. for a report of a collision. 

A 28-year-old male involved in the collision was taken to hospital and was pronounced deceased, according to police. One other rider was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing. 

Transport Canada and Ministry of Labour have been notified. The Central Region T.I.M.E (Traffic Incident Management Enforcement) Team attended the scene to investigate, states a news release from OPP.
