SEVERN - The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the removal of election signs in Severn Township.

On Sept. 28, 2018 the Orillia OPP received a complaint that someone had removed election signs from yards in Severn Township.

The Orillia OPP is currently investigating these incidents. Removal of election signs could be considered mischief or theft and result in criminal charges.

If anyone has information about the signs going missing they are encouraged to contact the Orillia OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 705-326-3536.
